Our mother Shirley Marie Duvall left this earthly realm on August 24, 2023 after a long battle with Glioblastoma Cancer. She was 74 years old.
It would be wrong to say that Mom lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Mom stayed strong. Through her we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like. There was no quit in Mom, Just because she is no longer here, it doesn't mean she lost her fight. Mom will forever be remembered as the rock of our family as well as her love of baking and gardening.
Shirley was happily married to her husband of 56 years Jerry Duvall who passed away on July 9th 2023. They left behind their four children Sandra Howard Cherie Herrera Clifford Dean Duvall and Tonya Duvall. They also left behind eleven grandchildren as well as nine Great Grandchildren.
Shirley left behind her five siblings and was preceded in death by her parents and seven siblings.
We invite you to join us in celebrating Shirley's love for Life-Baking-Gardening on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 910 SE Silver Springs Blvd. beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 S.W. 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.
