Our beloved mother, grandma, sister and aunt, Shirley Lavone Medell Eggli, age 70, passed away on May 22, 2022, at her home. She was born on May 24, 1951, in Ogden, Utah to parents Donald and Dorothy (Rock) Medell.
Shirley grew in the Roy, Utah. She graduated from Roy High School class of 69' and Weber State with 2 Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and Psychology.
She married her eternal companion, Kenneth Roy Eggli in the Ogden Temple on February 23, 1973.
Her and her husband had their forever home in Uintah and raised their two children there.
Shirley worked for over 20 years for Archway Youth Services. Where she enjoyed serving the youth of the community. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She had a deep and abiding faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
She was Neil Diamond's #1 fan. She enjoyed sewing, painting ceramics, and going on motorcycle rides with her sweetheart. Her most valuable possession is her family and took great pride in her 3 grandsons.
She will always be remembered for her cheerful demeanor and her great love for family members and friends. She loved to serve others and all who entered her home felt loved by her.
Shirley is survived by her children, Kurtis Eggli, Emily (Jorge) Hernandez; Grandchildren; Jonathan Earl-Eggli, Skyler Kenneth Eggli Hernandez, Dylan Jorge Hernandez; 5 siblings and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sister Donna Stephens.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at 11 a.m. at the Uintah 2nd Ward 6660 South 1775 East, Uintah, Utah. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary 5865 S 1900 W, Roy, Utah and Thursday, 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to service at the church. Interment, Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, Ogden UT.
