She was born December 14, 1938 in Hanover, the daughter of the late William and Freda (Bechtel) Steger.
She was a cleaning person for the YWCA, and a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
A viewing will be 12 noon Friday June 13, 2025 at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 2114 W. Market St. York. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery.
Shirley is survived by four children: Tina M. Hollabaugh, Katherine Valdovinos, Wayne Stauffer, Melissa S. Sheridan, nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two sisters and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Stauffer, granddaughter Kayla Sheridan, and a sister Susan (Bechtel) Harrison.
