Shirley M La Bumbard

Shirley Meeker LaBumbard, 90, of Newfield, NY passed away on July 15, 2022, at home. She was born in Ithaca, NY on October 22, 1931, to the late Lawrence and Hilda Meeker. She graduated from Ithaca High School in 1949. Shirley married Richard LaBumbard Sr. in 1953, they had 59 years together until he passed in 2013.
Shirley is survived by her daughters Debra(James) DuMond of Punta Gorda, FL and Denise(Donald) Friends of Willseyville, NY. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rebecca Strong, Jason DuMond, Juliette(Nicholas) Light, Richard(Jamie) LaBumbard III, and Victoria(Daniel) Slate. Ten great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight step-great grandchildren and two step- great granddaughters.
Other survivors are her brother John Meeker, sister-in-law Paula Meeker and Lorraine Bryan and brother-in-law Raymond LaBumbard, nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as her fur baby, Tinkerbell.
Shirley was pre-deceased by her son Richard LaBumbard Jr, brother, Richard Jack Meeker, brother and sister-in-law Lawrence and Sally Meeker, and brother William Meeker.
