Shirley Ann Crihfield (Kimble) Lander passed away peacefully at Valley Hospice - Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV on October 13, 2025. 

Shirley was born in Fairmont, WV on January 6, 1939, to Virgil and Dakota Crihfield.  

She is survived by her husband, George "Al" Lander of Wheeling, WV, whom she married in 1987.  

She is also survived by her children:  Richard Kimble, Mannington, WV; Gregory (Michelle) Kimble, Fairchance, PA;  Rocky Kimble, Hundred, WV; Joni Mayle, Salem, WV;  stepdaughter, Terri Riley (Tim) Mt. Pleasant, OH, stepson, Michael Lander (Kathy), Rayland, OH. 

Her brother, Daniel Crihfield of Thornton, WV. 

Her grandchildren:  Todd Kimble, Bethany Harrington (Mitch Woods), Corinna Perris Somers, Mike Perris, Jessica Kimble, Felicia Kimble, Brandon Kimble (Lisa), Danielle Larson, Corey Kimble (Raven), Jordan Mayle (Lyndsey) and Christie Layhue, Michael Shreve (Reba), Matt Shreve (Kayla), Katelynne Faust (Buck). 

Her great grandchildren: Ryatt Stewart, Cole Maxwell, Jase Ayers, Grant Perris, Locke Mayle, Wilkes Mayle, Devon Kimble, Dakota Kimble, Dahlia Kimble, Iris Kimble, Reagan Kimble,  Elloise Kimble, Cyrus Kimble, Teagan Kimble, Addison Larson, Leiana Larson, Luke Harrington and Mathew Harrington-Woods, Madison Layhue and Mason Layhue, Jackson Shreve, Emersyn Shreve,  Hanna Faust.  

Her great-great grandchildren: Zyler and Greyson Kimble. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Albert "Sonny" Kimble,  a son, Jeffrey "Scott" Kimble, a grandson, Dathon Scott Kimble, and three sisters, Deloris Crihfield,  Elnora Folio Webb and Judy Haines.

Shirley's remarkable life was marked by her longtime ownership and operation of S & S Variety store and the S & S Cafe (aka The Restaurant) in Hundred, WV, where she shared her love of home-cooked meals and fresh coffee with her many customers - whom she cherished as friends. As a member of the Hundred Church of Christ, she embodied the values of kindness and generosity. Her enthusiasm for watching Tiger Woods play golf, family games of Sequence, playing bingo, watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and classic westerns brought her much joy. Shirley's memory will be a blessing to all who knew her, remembered for her radiant smile, generous heart, and unwavering strength.


Respecting her wishes, there will be no service, but a private family memorial will be held at a later date.  Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
