Shirley Joyce (Matthews) Mayse, August 4, 1935 – December 11, 2022
Shirley, passed away in her home in Redlands, CA. She was born in Arkansas, grew up in San Bernardino and settled in Redlands where she resided for over 60 years. Shirley was an avid reader and loved celebrations. She was known for her infectious laugh. Shirley was a loyal friend and had deep abiding faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed living in Plymouth Village for the last eight years of her life. Her greatest love was her family. Shirley is preceded in death by her Husband, Howard Mayse, married for 54 years and survived by a Brother, Gene Mathews (and wife Patricia Matthews), of Yorba Linda, CA, a Daughter, Susan (Mayse) Baze (and husband Gary Baze) of Redlands, CA, a Son, Steven Mayse (and wife Karen Mayse) of Beloit, WI. Shirley was an adoring Grandma to six Grandchildren and a GG to four Great Grandchildren. There will be a memorial service at the National Cemetery, Riverside, CA January 24, 2023 where she will be laid to rest alongside her Husband.
