Born to John and Donna (Johnson) Morrison on November 9, 1945, Shirley grew up in Middleton and lived there most of her life. She worked at Lyons Trim Plant (Chrysler) early in her life until they closed that location.
Shirley worked for many years as a Representative for Western Surety, later changed to CNA Surety. She received many awards while there and was even named "Representative of the Year" several times. She made many friends when calling on insurance agents, and many still called her and visited her. Shirley chose not to retire until she was 75 years old because she loved her job so much. Active with her church family, she was proud to have organized church sales at Middleton Community Church several times each year.
Left to cherish her memory are one son; two grandchildren; sister Linda; sister-in-law Patricia Morrison; several nieces and nephews; and special niece Jodi Arrowwood.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; sister Sharon Proctor; brother Bill Morrison; nephew Marc Proctor; and special person Jack Antes.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 11-1 pm at Dodge Funeral Home, Middleton. Immediately following, a funeral service will take place at 1 pm with Pastor Marilyn Biddinger officiating. Shirley will be laid to rest in New Haven Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Middleton Community Church, Gratiot County Animal Control, or the charity of your choice.
