Shirley Naze, 85, Casco, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025. She was born in Red River on May 28, 1940, to the late George and Marie (Dequaine) Boucher. She married Willard Naze on November 26, 1975, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Lincoln. He preceded her in death on November 22, 2008.
Shirley had a deep faith and loved her family dearly. Spending time with them was her favorite thing to do. She was a very caring person, always looking out for others. She was known for her sewing, crocheting, and crafting, always proud to show her baby blankets and bridal dresses. Though she was an amazing cook, she enjoyed going out to eat and having a cocktail. Shirley enjoyed watching and cheering for the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers, hoping they would hit on her numbers.
Shirley is survived by her children, Becky (Randy) Barrett, Cindy Theys, Jeff (Tami) Theys, Christi (Paul) Peot; grandchildren, Aaron (Kristin) Barrett, Kimberly (Rob) Jenkins, Logan (special friend Sylvia) Theys, Vivienne Theys, Lillian Theys, Ian (special friend Eva) Peot, Elliott (special friend Tess) Peot; great grandchildren Haddie, Clara, and Piper Barrett, and Amelia Jenkins; brothers-in-law Wayne (Deanna) Naze, Jim (Judy) Naze; sisters-in-law Cyndi (Randy) Berg, Veronica Boucher; goddaughter, Mary Voyles; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; her parents George and Marie Boucher; brothers Roland (Beatrice) Boucher, Hamilin (Magdalene) Boucher; sister-in-law Lorraine Boucher; brother-in-law Tom Naze; father-in-law and mother-in-law Willard Sr. and Viola Naze.
Visitation will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Church, Howard from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Funeral mass at 12:00 pm with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. Burial will take place at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery, Lincoln immediately following mass. Kinnard Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family.
