Shirley A. Reiss, 88, of Allentown, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in her home. She was the wife of the late Dale W. Reiss, who died in 2020.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Clifton and Elsie (Manning) Langenbach. Shirley worked as a cashier at Laneco in Allentown for more than 29 years until retiring in 1999. She enjoyed reading the Bible, sewing and baking. Shirley treasured family trips to Disney and the time she spent with her grandkids. She was also an avid Eagles, Penn State and Phillies fan.

Shirley was good to her grandchildren, and her family loved her fiercely. She always gave good advice and tried to make everything positive. Nearly every day she would say, "Each day is a new day!"

Shirley was a strong Christian believer in Christ Jesus and for this we have peace knowing that she will spend all eternity in heaven with Him, as we know what the Bible says about salvation for those who believe in Jesus.

2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord"

Survivors: Son, Eric D. Reiss and his wife Bridgitte of Forks Township; brother, Joseph Langenbach of Allentown; 2 grandchildren, Noah and Siannah. Shirley was also preceded in death by a son Kevin W. Reiss, a daughter Monica A. Reiss and 8 siblings – Barry, Clifton Jr., Ken, Edward, Bob, Betty Shires, Bernice Tosh and Dorothy Wolf.

Services and burial at St. Mark's Cemetery in Allentown will be private at the family's request. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Allentown.
