Shirley Gene Rowe

Shirley Gene Rowe, 88, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 1:22 am August 4, 2025 at Carlyle Senior Living in Carlyle, Illinois. She was born July 15, 1937 in Hayt Township, Missouri to the late Hiram Loyd and Fannie Emma (Comer) Holder. Shirley married Clifford Rowe, Sr. and he preceded her in death. Shirley later married Donald Stone and he preceded her in death.

Shirley is survived by her children, Tina Hall and husband, Roger, Darrell Rowe and wife, Dawn, Tony Rowe and wife, Trula, Mike Rowe, and Travis Stone and wife, Tyson; sixteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Ruby Postada.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Shirley was preceded in death by her children, Clifford Rowe, Jr., Ruby Wade, Shawn Stone and thirteen siblings.

Shirley enjoyed going to yard sales and shopping with her sister, Ruby. She liked listening to music and watching westerns.

A Private Visitation will be held. Memorials may be made in Shirley's honor to an animal shelter of the donor's choice.
