Shirley Jean Winfrey, 85, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. Shirley was born October 28, 1937, in Mineral Wells, Texas to Henry D. Boyd and Edith Louise (Reasoner) Boyd. She devoted her life to raising her family while working in the retail industry. Shirley was an avid reader, enjoyed raising a flower garden, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and especially enjoyed the company of her dog, Baby. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, H.D. and Edith Boyd; son, Phillip Clifton; siblings, Linda Evans and Jimmy Wayne Boyd; and nephew, Tony Evans.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Angie Atkins (Kevin); son, Robbie Gibson (Lisa Livingston); son-in-law, Arturo Torres Clifton; grandchildren, Crystal Burkett (Jason), Matthew Clifton (Frank), Colby Gibson (Shelbi), Brady Gibson, Dustin Reeder (Erika), Toni Vohs (Brad), Zachary Atkins (Lauren), and Morgan Atkins; multiple great-grandchildren; and sister, Patsy Cox.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2023, at Holder's Chapel Cemetery, Weatherford, Texas 76088.
Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086.
