Shirley A. Wright, 82, of Hancock, NY, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at home. She was born on February 7, 1943 in Walton, NY, the daughter of Franklin D. and Ella Mae (Carpenter) Campbell.

Shirley worked many years and retired from Dedeco International in Long Eddy, NY. She cared for her close friend, Erika Stoddart, for several years. Shirley was always talking to anyone she came across and she was up to speed with what everyone was doing. She enjoyed taking her friends to doctor appointments and playing bingo. Shirley loved teddy bears and scratching lottery tickets.

Surviving are her 4 children: Rodney (Laurie) Anderson, Bonnie Mason, Tammy Stanton, and Sherry Mallery; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter. Shirley is also survived by her brother, Franklin (Barbara) Campbell; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Jeremy Mallery; siblings: Charles Campbell, Harriet Brown, Dorothy Wormuth, Florence Alexander, Barbara Stark, and Nellie Caruso; and her 2 previous husbands, Howard Anderson and Walter Wright.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at the American Legion Hall in Hancock, NY, on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 12-2PM. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Hancock, NY.
