Carole Diane Moran, a beacon of love and creativity, passed away peacefully due to natural causes on August 25, 2025, in Greenwood, Indiana. Born on January 27, 1942, in Indianapolis, Carole lived a life marked by intelligence, artistic passion, and a profound dedication to her family.

Carole, a graduate of Carmel High School, embarked on a fulfilling career with IBM, where she retired after 18 years of dedicated service. Her professional life was a testament to her intelligence and work ethic, but it was her personal interests and family that truly defined her.

An aspiring artist at heart, Carole's life was a canvas of experiences and emotions. She cherished the simple pleasures of life, like sitting on her porch in Brown County, immersed in the natural beauty that served as an inspiration for her artwork. Animals held a special place in her heart, reflecting her caring and nurturing spirit.

Carole's love for literature found a home in the 4 Sister's book club she enjoyed with her sisters. The club's lively discussions and shared stories were a source of joy and intellectual stimulation that Carole treasured deeply. As one of ten children, she reveled in the quirky dynamics of her large family, which provided her with endless stories, laughter, and love.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Cindy (Dennis) Price and Candy (John) Foley; her adoring grandchildren, Denny Price, Matthew Young, Michael, Tommy, and Christine Ferree; and her cherished siblings, Larry (Helga) Moran, Howard Moran, Kenny (JoAnn) Moran, Gail (Jim)Huff, Peggy (Ken) Swingley, Kathy Moran (John Edwards), Shawn (Pam) Moran, Danny (Barb) Moran, and Jimmy (Melissa) Moran. Carole also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ethel Moran, and her former husband, William Nelson Young.

To know Carole was to know a woman of unwavering warmth. She approached the world with a loving heart, seeking to impart kindness and joy to those around her. Her creative soul and intelligent mind made her a cherished companion and a guiding light to her family. Carole's memory will be held in the hearts of those she touched, as a celebration of a life well-lived and a legacy of love that will continue to inspire for generations to come

A Funeral service will be held Saturday August 30, 2025 at 1 pm with visitation from 11 am until the time of the service at Wilson St.Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood
