In Loving Memory of Shobhna Majmudar
Shobhna G Majmudar, age 74 of Lewis Center, OH, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family and extended family on November 9, 2025 at Riverside Hospital.
Born March 6, 1951 in Valsad, Gujarat, India, Shobhna was the daughter of Rajnikant & Virbala (Sheth) Vakil. She graduated from high school, followed by higher education with a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Education. After graduating from The Bassein Gujarati Education High School in 1967, she attended Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackeray Women's University in Mumbai, India, earning a degree in Bachelor of Education in 1974.
Her true joy came from teaching; she was a teacher in the early years of her career, and then she moved to tutoring high school students. After moving to the US in 1995, she worked as a pharmacy Support staff at Medco Rx before her retirement.
Shobhna was very fond of her grandchildren. Especially, taking an interest in their hobbies and activities such as baking cookies, stitching, and cooking. She will always be remembered for keeping up with the next generation and her unwavering faith in God.
Defining characteristics that made Shobhna a wholesome personality include a strong, resilient mind, a soft-spoken nature, caring, and a willingness to take on challenges. Her fight with cancer over the last 5 years didn't just test her limits-it solidified her resolve and her will unbendable.
Shobhna is survived by her husband Girish; daughter Morli and son Sharan, along with grandchildren Sahil, Mahi, Aarohi, and Aaryan. She has 3 sisters and 2 brothers residing in India.
Friends and relatives may join the Majmudar family on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Snyder Funeral Center, Delaware Chapel, for prayers and Antim Darshan.
