Sonny B Van Arsdale

Van Arsdale, Sonny Brooks, age 89 of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on February 13, 2025.
Sonny was born on August 13, 1935, to Carl and Eula Van Arsdale in Exie, Kentucky. His career with State Farm Insurance began in 1952 in Bloomington, IL and lasted 42 years. Sonny said, "my life was blessed by a beautiful, wonderful and loving woman by the name of Karen Lausterer who became my wife on November 29, 1957, in Bloomington, IL". Their work resulted in a move to Lafayette, IN in 1961 and after retirement, they moved to Naples, FL in 2000." It doesn't matter where we go in life, what we do or how much we have. It is who you have beside you".
Sonny is survived by his sister, Leola Tibbs of Bloomington, IL, sister-in-law Linda Van Arsdale Howard of Vanlue, OH, brother-in-law Duane and sister-in-law Lorita Lausterer of Naples, FL and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen, his parents, father- in- law, mother-in-law, two brothers: Carl and Sam Van Arsdale and brother-in-law, Earl Tibbs.
The family requests donation in memory of Sonny be made to the Alzheimer's Association, First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs or Harry Chapin Food Bank in Fort Myers, FL
