Spike Micelli

Leonard "Spike" Micelli, age 83, a current resident of Oxford, February 8, 1939-February 4, 2023. He grew up in Ferndale racing on Woodward Ave, always trying to dodge law enforcement, most times he was successful, but not always. He also loved lifting weights in his younger years, constantly staying in shape. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.
As a career he was a truck driver and drove for many companies and was a member of the Teamsters. He was a member of "Ostrander Racing Team" from Waterford, his passion was showing classic cars at cars shows throughout Michigan. Spike loved feeding the animals in his yard, he lived with a bunch of cats, at least 10 at one time.
Spike was preceded in death by his father Leonard, his mother Ruth, and his brother Nick. He is survived by 1 nephew Mark Micelli, and 1 niece Nicole Micelli.
A graveside service with military honors will take place at Ridgelawn Cemetery, 99 W. Burdick Street, Oxford, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Noon.
