Sr. Pauline Labrie, CSC, (Sr. Mary Albert of the Savior), passed away on August 16, 2025 at Holy Cross Health Center in Manchester
She was born in Manchester, on September 19, 1935, to Albert and Cancia (Laplante) Labrie. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Holy Cross in 1954 and pronounced her final vows August 15, 1961.
Sr. Pauline ministered in New Hampshire as an elementary school teacher, bookkeeper, secretary, assistant principal, receptionist and administrative assistant. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and Education from Notre Dame College, then a Master of Arts in Teaching Religion degree from St. Michael’s College. From 1998 to 2018, Sr. Pauline served as Director of Finances and Treasurer for the Sisters of Holy Cross. She will long be remembered as a caring, loving listener.
Sr. Pauline was pre-deceased by her parents and her brother, Lawrence. She is survived by her sister, Claire, and her husband, Richard Gaumont; two nieces, Susan Boisvert, and Denise Viar and their families; several grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind the Sisters of Holy Cross and the members of her local community with whom she lived for many years: Carol Descoteaux, CSC, and Alicia Finn, Companion of Holy Cross.
SERVICES: Calling hours are on Wednesday (8/27) from 2 to 4 p.m., with a prayer service at 3 p.m., both in the chapel of St. George Manor, 357 Island Pond Rd., Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday (8/28) at 9 a.m. in the chapel at St. George Manor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sisters of Holy Cross, Development Office and mailed to 365 Island Pond Road, Manchester, New Hampshire 03109.
