Anastasia (Staci) R. Young, age 49, of Westerville, Ohio, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on June 27, 2024. Staci was born on January 28, 1975, and was the daughter of John and Mary Murray.
Staci is survived by her Husband Eric Young, Son Brian Murray Young, Daughter Rachel (Aaron Hamilton) Young, Mother Mary Murray, Sisters Shelley (Anthony Ployhar) Davis and Ashley (Kyle) Hinton, several Nieces and Nephews, and many loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her Father, John R. Murray Jr., Grandparents Kathleen and Deward Logan, Velda and William Hoffman, John R. Murray Sr. and Doris Murray.
Staci was raised in Delaware, Ohio until the age of 9 when her family moved to Westerville. It was in Westerville where she would complete her school age years and meet the love of her life. Staci was married to her loving husband Eric on February 13, 1996.
Staci was a mortgage loan processor for many years but spent the last 25 years of her career as the accounting bookkeeper for her family's title agency.
Staci always put her children first and loved being a mom more than anything else. She was the ultimate soccer mom for many years traveling all over with her children and husband. She learned to love soccer so much she played herself in an adult league with her husband.
Staci was selfless and kind with a heart of gold. She would do anything for anyone, whether she knew you or not. Staci loved animals; farm animals, (especially cows), domestic animals, all creatures and insects (especially butterflies). From the time she was very young, she always had a baby bird in a shoe box she was trying to save, or a spider that was inside that she was picking up to take outside so it could live to see another day. She loved going to concerts, could be called a Hockey fanatic and was a super fan of the Columbus Crew. Staci loved taking photos, reading and doing puzzles. Staci was a great swimmer like her dad and loved the beach. Her favorite place to visit was North Captiva Island in Florida where she hoped and dreamed that she would someday call this Island home.
A visitation will be held for Staci on Thursday July 11, 2024, at 5pm, followed by a service at 6pm at Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel in Sunbury.
In lieu flowers, the family invites you to make a donation in Staci's honor at www.4ocean.com or to Nationwide Children's Hospital.
