Standley Herbert (SH Bud) Scott, age 88, passed away on January 22, 2022 in Englewood, Colorado. He was born on May 6, 1933 in Brighton, Colorado to R. Glenn and Eunice (Campbell) Scott.
Growing up, Standley attended Brighton public schools, ultimately graduating from Brighton High School and then Colorado State University (Colorado A&M). After completing his bachelor's degree, Stanley went on to join the Army in the post WWII era, where he proudly served his country.
For labor, Standley worked many different jobs. He started as a sugar beet farmer in Brighton and was even deemed the president of Cattleman's Association. He also ran the Fountain of Health bottled water supplier for many years, and he even sold insurance for a long period of time. I guess you can say he had a knack for sales, for he thrived in that industry for the majority of his working career.
Standley loved to take part in outdoor activities, especially going to the mountains with his wife Grace. He also enjoyed his time farming and harvesting beets, and was a jack of all trades when it came to fixing anything that needed attention around the house. In his later years, Standley immensely enjoyed watching his son Glenn grow up and play sports. He took a lot of pride in his grandchildren Brody and Lucy.
Standley is survived by, his wife, Grace Scott, of Brighton, CO. His only son, Glenn (Jessica) Scott, and step-son, Ken (Jovi) Russell, of Brighton, CO. Along by two grandchildren, Brody and Lucy Scott. He is preceded in passing by both parents, R. Glenn and Eunice Scott, and by two brothers, Bob and Bill Scott.
