Stanley Derosky, 88, of Clearwater, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025.
Born on September 9, 1936, in Imperial, Pennsylvania, Stan was the son of Henry Derosky and Julia Derosky (Potocnik). He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was marked by hard work, service, and love for family.
Stan dedicated 30 years of his life to J&L Steel Mill and served his community as a police officer for North Fayette Township for 9 years. His passion for auto mechanics led him to open and operate Derosky's Garage, where he continued to work in retirement. In 2004, Stan and his wife Bonnie of 59 years moved to Florida, where they spent their remaining lives together enjoying the sunshine, and time with loved ones.
He is survived by his children: Terry Hudak (Mark – deceased), Bonnie Swoager (Jon – deceased), and Bob Derosky (Cathy); grandchildren: Lauren Van Asten (Brian), Robert Derosky (Stephanie), and Tyler Derosky; brother: Edward Derosky (Judy); as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
Stan was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Iva Mae (Bonnie) Derosky (Kincaid); his parents; brothers: Henry Jr., Frank, Raymond; and sister: Francis McKay (Derosky).
Stan will be remembered for his kind heart, generosity, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held in Pittsburgh, PA at a later date. Additional details will be announced when confirmed.
