Stanley Locklear Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Boles Funeral Home - Red Springs on Oct. 1, 2025.
Stanley Locklear, 67, of Shannon, NC, was born on August 9, 1958, and entered his heavenly home on September 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved son of the late Odell and Alice Locklear. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald, and his precious grandchildren, Jalen and Joslyn.
Stanley leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sarah "Ann" Locklear, of the home; two sons, Phillip Locklear (Amanda) of Shannon, NC, and Joshua Locklear (Kandice) of Maxton, NC; and four cherished grandchildren: Julian, Lakoda, Jaylee, and Kyleigh.
He is also survived by his siblings: brothers Laudell (Hazel), Larry Dean (Deborah), and Marion Dale (Tawana); sisters Alice Faye (Hilton), Jacqueline (Maxie), Brenda; and a sister-in-law, Vickie. He will be fondly remembered by the Revels family, along with a host of extended relatives and dear friends.
Stanley found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved fishing, antique cars, drag and NASCAR racing, and taking rides on his Harley. He was also deeply committed to helping others, often volunteering his time to build ramps for elderly and disabled individuals, ensuring they had safe and accessible entry to their homes.
After 39 years of dedicated service, Stanley retired from GoodYear. He was a faithful and active member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Rennert, NC, where he served as treasurer for many years. A humble servant of God, Stanley was known for his unwavering faith and devotion to prayer, especially for the salvation of his friends and family.
Stanley's kind spirit, steadfast faith, and loving heart will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
