Stanley R. McFall, affectionately known as "Stan the Man", "Muscles," and "Sluggo," passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on July 28, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois, he was the beloved son of Molly and Ola McFall, who predeceased him.
Stanley was a dedicated employee; He held several jobs but spent a large amount of time at a few jobs that he loved. He worked at Hope School for the 7 years of his working career. He then went to work in retail, at CVS for an additional 7/ 8 years, and JC Penny the last 17 years of his working career, which allowed him to retire on July 31, 2024. He was well-respected and known in his community and made a lasting impact on the lives he touched.
Stanley's education culminated in a high school diploma, but it was his life experiences and passion for helping others that truly defined him. He shared a special bond with his wife, Daralyn Sargent McFall; that bond carried them through life journey, they remained not only husband and wife but good friends. Their bond showcased the kindness and warmth that characterized Stanley's relationships with not only his wife but family and friends.
A man of many interests, Stanley had a zest for life that was infectious. He loved cooking and often gathered family and friends for meals filled with laughter. Stanley looked forward to fishing when he could, and looked forward to doing more when he retired, in his spare time. A lover of games, he could often be found playing cards and dominos, bringing joy and humor to every gathering. As a lifelong Chicago Bears fan, he proudly cheered for his team, embodying the spirit of camaraderie and enthusiasm.
Stanley leaves behind three cherished children: Yolanda Sims, Karenna McFall, and Akeem McFall, who will forever hold onto the memories of their father's laughter and love. He was a loving grandfather to 7 grandchildren: Nathaniel, Darren, Quincy Jr, Natalie, Jovan, Yazmina, Nevelle, He is also survived by his siblings: Keith (Chandra) McFall, Karen (Walter) McFall, Terri (Odell) McFall, and Toye McFall, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents Clara and William McFall, grandchild Quincy Williams Beathea and siblings Lynn (Joy) McFall, Carroll McFall, and James Earl McFall. His legacy of love, laughter, and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
