Stanley Victor Stevenson, age 94, entered peacefully into eternal rest at his residence on Sunday, March 2, 2025. He was a native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Stanley attended Rosenwald High School and was the owner and operator of S&L Trucking Company and Tinnies Lounge for over 40 years. He also formerly owned and operated of Lil Montecarlo Lounge and was a former truck driver with Ward Lumber Company. Beloved husband of the late Christina Falkins Stevenson by first marriage and the late Lilly Mae Walker Stevenson by second marriage. Devoted father of Wanda Regina Wilson, Dannoy V. Stevenson, and the late Dwayne O. Stevenson, and Shywan Phoenix. Loving grandfather of Katrina (Eric) Dickerson, Kimberly (Miguel) Curl, Arisha Walker, Danisha Dorsey, Brandon Stanley (Venessa) Walker, Shawnel Walker, Eric and Brockton Wilson. Son of the late Frank Stevenson and Ella London Stevenson. Brother of Birdela Idler Stevenson, Dorthy (Willie) Brown, Alex (Mable), Elworth (Doretha), Cleo (Augustine), and Franklin Stevenson. Godfather of Gloria Jacob and Loraine Davis. Longtime companion of Cheryl Ann Keller. Father-in-law of Rhonda Stevenson, Eric Wilson and Alvin Phoenix. Brother-in-law of Ellouise Toliver and Ivory Nola Walker. Also cherishing his memories are 24 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, 1 great great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor T. Lynn Robinson, Sr. of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Gretna, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m until service time at the parlor. Interment: Christian Social Cemetery-Gretna, LA.
