Stanley R. Suchoski, 81, of Wilkes Barre passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.

Born in Wilkes Barre on November 10, 1943, he was the son of the late Stanley and Genevieve Suchoski. In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by his infant brother, Robert.

Stanley graduated from Coughlin High School and honorably served his country in the United States Navy. After completing his active enlistment duty, he joined the Merchant Marines. His nautical embarkments took him worldwide which, after many years at sea, his deployment culminated in the Great Lakes. He returned home and worked for many years at Atwater Silk Mill in Plymouth, PA until retirement. Though retirement was never an end game, he continued to work various odd jobs within the neighborhood and community. To his credit, he really was a "Jack of all trades".

Stanley was a studious reader learning how to fix anything that was broken. Self-taught. His knowledge and repair work of cars was extensive and long-standing. He loved cultivating a garden of fruits, vegetables and plants. There was always an abundance of freshly plucked produce on the kitchen counter. He had more than a green thumb: he made the earth his canvas of beauty and nutrition that abundantly grew because of his persistence and dedication.

Stanley was a devout Catholic attending daily mass. His love and reverence for God was always front and center his entire life. His daily thoughts, interactions and purpose was solely walking the path of God. He was very involved with the church and helped with a multitude of jobs that would benefit the church's functionality in serving its parishioners. Each and every day of Stanley's life, he not only followed but practiced the Lord's message. He believed that the importance of religion and guidance through trials with common themes of trust and repentance would bring the promise of a joyful future and eternal peace for those who follow God's will.

Stanley was a humble servant, and faithful member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish, Plains.

Surviving are sisters, Eleanor Dawson, Miami Fl., Patricia Suchoski, Exeter, Kathleen Crane and her husband Donald, Wilkes Barre, Christine Levine and her husband, Ronald, Port St. Lucie, Fl. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, September 19, 2025, at 10:00 am in Bernadine Hall, Saints Peter and Paul Church, Plains, PA Reverend John Lambert will officiate.
