STANLEY WALDSTEIN Obituary

WALDSTEIN, Stanley Age 89, of Boca Raton, FL, formerly of Cape Cod and Newton, MA, passed away peacefully, on June 10, surrounded by his children. Born in Brookline and raised in Newton, Stanley graduated from UPenn's Wharton School, where he played sprint football. He generously supported the football team his entire life. In 1972, he and Alan Tobin co-founded Tobin & Waldstein, a successful accounting firm. Stanley was known for his intelligence, integrity, wit and dedication. He met his wife, Rita in 1964 and were married four months later. Over 57 years, they raised two children, traveled extensively, and worked side by side. When Rita became ill, Stanley became her 24/7 caregiver. Rita passed in 2021. In many ways, so did Stanley. He is survived by children, Bob Waldstein and Wendy (Stephen) Sims; grandchildren, Jake and Alyssa Sims; and many relatives and friends, including his best friend of almost 90 years, Allan Solomon. He was predeceased by Rita; his parents; and sister, Ellie Bloom. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 26, at 11:00 AM, at Temple Beth Avodah, Newton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charlesrivercenter.org, Ellie Bloom Olympics. For full obituary and online guestbook and directions, please visit www.chapmanfuneral.com
