Stella Marie Mendez

Stella Marie Vela Mendez, 52, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2025, at her home in Inez, Texas.

A beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many is now at rest.

A full life story will be shared in the days to come.

Funeral Services to celebrate Stella's life will be as follows:

Public Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at Saint Theresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 235 SW 4th St, Premont, TX

with a Vigil for the Deceased at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

Visitation will resume at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025, at St Theresa's with the Funeral Mass to be celebrated 11:30 a.m.

Committal Service will follow in the Vela Family Cemetery in Premont, Texas.

*If floral arrangements are ordered from a florist in the Premont/Falfurrias Area they will be delivered to the Church, if floral arrangements are ordered through the website portal, they will be transported from Corpus Christi. All flowers will be displayed for both visitations.
