Stella Louise Newcomb (Paris) Obituary
Stella Louise Newcomb (Paris), 77, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved girls on January 24th, 2024. She was born in Jeffersonville Indiana on May 17, 1946, to the late Glen R. and Helen Mary Paris (Swartz).
Stella found joy in nurturing her children and grandchildren, reveled in the soothing embrace of the river, cultivated beauty through flowers and gardening, embraced the thrill of social outings including but not limited to, bowling, bunco, and "the boat". Of everything she enjoyed, she mostly cherished the moments spent with her girls and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Norman Lee Newcomb, and her siblings, Glen Paris, Donald Paris, Sue Elaine Armstrong (Paris) and Peggy Ann Riggle (Paris).
Stella is survived by her daughters, Glenda Helen Eadens and Kimberly Kraft (Eadens); grandchildren, Jessica Eadens (Rodney) Kesler, Cole Kraft and Dylan Kraft; great-grandchild, Graeham Michael Griffin; her beloved late husband's children, daughter, Deborah (Roger) Soderberg, son, Darrell (Tina) Newcomb, daughter, Daphne (Glen) Franklin, and son, Deverett (Kathy) Newcomb, along with their children and grandchildren.
The family would like to offer a special note of thanks to the caring staff at the Pinnacle of Louisville.
Visitation will be at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway on Wednesday, January 31 from 2:00 to 8:00 pm with her funeral service at 6:30 pm.
