Stephanie Ann Boblitt, 64, of Huntingtown, MD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on October 26, 1960, in Hagerstown, MD, Stephanie was the daughter of Jo Ann (Light) Weaver and the late David Blaine Weaver. A graduate of Smithsburg High School, Class of 1978, she went on to earn her bachelor's degree in accounting from Virginia Tech, where she met her husband, Wayne.
Stephanie began her professional career with Deloitte Haskins and Sells in Baltimore and later retired as the CFO of the Arc Central Chesapeake Region. She was passionate about serving her community, dedicating her time to the Chesapeake Cares Food Pantry in Calvert County, the MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) program at Emmanuel Church, and Boy Scout Troop 422.
An adventurous spirit, Stephanie cherished the outdoors. She was an avid water and snow skier who found joy on the Potomac River and in the mountains, often teaching Boy Scouts to ski and leading high-adventure trips. She completed long-distance bike rides, including the entire C&O Canal and GAP trails, and competed just this past September in the VentureQuest adventure race, which included hiking, biking, orienteering, and canoeing.
In addition to her mother, Stephanie is survived by her beloved husband, Wayne Boblitt; her three sons: Jonathan (Jennie) Boblitt, Zachary (Gina) Boblitt, and Justin (Leah) Boblitt; and her granddaughters: Susanna Boblitt, Ruby Boblitt, Zoey Boblitt, Maren Boblitt Wolfgang, with another granddaughter on the way; her twin sister, Sophia (Bob) Veillette; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:00 am, at the Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor Stan Beall officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, February 1, 2025, 10:00 am - 11:00 am, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chesapeake Cares Food Pantry at 6201 Solomons Island Road, Huntingtown MD 20639.
