Stephanie Frances (Sudol) Pitoniak, 94 of Clifton died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Passaic to George & Sophie (Chmura) Sudol, she graduated from Passaic High School. Stephanie lived in Garfield for a short time and has resided in Clifton for the past 65 years.
Stephanie worked at the Unemployment Agency in Passaic after high school. She began working in the Clifton Violations Department as a clerk typist in 1974. When she retired, she held the position of Court Clerk for the city of Clifton. She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle RC Church in Clifton.
Stephanie was an avid Mets fan, watching nearly every game. She enjoyed baking and taking family photos. She loved her rose garden. She took occasional bus trips to Atlantic City with fellow seniors and, most of all loved spending time with her family.
Stephanie is predeceased by her beloved husband of 41 years, Stephen Pitoniak, by four sisters; Mary Verbinski, Stasia Koman, Filomena Fedorchak & Frances Barnett, and a brother Joseph Sudol. She is survived by two sons; Stephen & wife Valorie, and Gary all of Clifton, by a daughter Linda Fleming & husband Ronald of Lake Hiawatha, by four grandchildren; Alexis, Zachary & wife Kylie, Ryan & wife Lisette & Rachel, and by three great- grandchildren; Lilly, Rory & Elliot.
Funeral service will begin 9:15 Thursday at the Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ 07012 followed by a Mass at St. Philip RC Church in Clifton. Burial to take place at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Viewing Wednesday 4-8PM.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will be appreciated.
