Stephanie Anne Rudy, peacefully passed away on September 30th, 2025, at the age of 40, surrounded by her family and leaving behind a legacy of love that touched the lives of many.

Born on April 22, 1985, in Douglasville, GA., Stephanie suffered a stroke at the age of 10 months which was the cause of her life-long disabilities. After relocating with her parents to Louisville in 1988, she attended the Louisville Deaf Oral School and went on to graduate from Jefferson County Public Schools. She was an active participant at Kaleidoscope Adult Day Program in Louisville. Despite her physical and mental challenges, her infectious personality, precocious spirit, singular will and determination won the hearts of most everyone she met. Stephanie loved Jesus, her family, animals of all kinds, going out to eat, watching sports, traveling and holidays. She especially loved traveling to see her brother, sister-in-law, niece and three nephews, and celebrating the annual "Sister's Week" with her mother and her Aunts. She enjoyed the Fall and in particular, Halloween in Gatlinburg, TN. She also loved celebrating holidays and all things Christmas.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Rev. Robert Steven and Martha Rudy, her brother, and sister-in-law, Matthew and Jessica Rudy, her niece, Violet Rudy and three nephews Philip, Henry and William Rudy. Joining them are her Aunt Robin and Uncle David Couch, her Aunt Sandra and Uncle Tom Donnelly, Great Uncle Ken Stanley and her faithful caregiver Deborah Brinson along with her Kaleidoscope family, her church family and friends.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her grandparents Robert H. and H. Jeane Rudy, Clifton G. and Anne B. Brannan, her Aunt Virginia G. and Uncle Bruce Freudenrich, and her Great Aunt Kathryn B. Stanley.

The family invites those whose lives were touched by Stephanie's indomitable spirit to celebrate her memory during the visitation on October 8th, 2025, from 12:00pm to 2:00 PM, followed by her funeral service at 2:00pm at Stoess Funeral Home, located at 6542 W. Hwy 22, Crestwood, KY 40014. Burial will follow at Floydsburg Cemetery.

While Stephanie may no longer be physically with us, her remarkable smile, determination and effervescent spirit will forever remain in our hearts; a testament to her unwavering love and singular strength. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and comfort all who knew her. For we can never be so honored this side of heaven than to be used as a tool in the hands of God … and used her, He did!
