Early in the morning on July 7th, 2023, Steve left this sin -sick world to join our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven. He is now singing in his rich bass voice in Heaven!
Steve was a New Year's baby, born January 1st, 1944, to Robert and Helen Andersen. Robert was in combat during World War II and did not see his son until Steve was 2 years old. At age 6, Steve accepted the Lord as his Savior and he loved and trusted the Lord the rest of his life.
In high school Steve carried a New Testament in his shirt pocket which attracted the attention of his bride-to-be who had prayed for a Godly man. Steve and Mary were married on August 28th, 1965. They have 2 sons, John and Tom.
Steve served in the Navy reserves for 6 years. During his working career he was employed by Control Data, Minneapolis Leasing Co. National Computers Systems and Jack Links's Beef Jerky Company.
He directed our church choir for 20 years in Omaha, Nebraska and enjoyed singing solos.
