Stephen Cory Erwin

Stephen Cory Erwin, age 43, of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with Jesus on October 17, 2022 and is now in the arms of his mother and sister. Cory was born on October 23, 1978 to Stephen and Janice (Stacy) Erwin in Columbus. He is survived by his father, Stephen L. Erwin; brother, Philip Erwin; brother-in-law, William Carter; nephew, Jeffrey (Angela) Carter; great-niece, Faith Lynette Carter; cousins, Linda (Martin) Bauer, David (Rebecca) Sligh, Diana Simms; many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. Cory was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Erwin; and sister, Kelly Carter.
He loved people, animals, and music. He enjoyed listening to Sunny 95 and CD's of multiple artists, especially songs from the 1980's. Cory was always excited to receive a CD from anyone who visited him and had many CDs' in his collection.
He was involved in the WCS Program (Work and Community Services) through Goodwill Industries. A special thanks to Jane Coffee, Behavior Specialist, Kara Yingling, Franklin County Service Coordinator, and Nurse Jan Roehll. Also thank you to Cinnamon, Christine and all the staff at Minamyer Residential Services for their many years of faithful service to Cory.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, from Noon-1 PM at Jersey Church, where his Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1PM, with Pastor Todd Smeltzer officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
