Stephen Emil Hoehler

Stephen Emil Hoehler, 80, of Louisville, peacefully entered eternal rest on Monday, December 23, 2024.
He was born on March 12, 1944 to the late Emil G. and Florence Morat Hoehler.
He was the owner of E.M. Hoehler Co., Inc., having retired in 2010. E.M. Hoehler Co., Inc. was an automotive parts company founded by his grandfather, E.M. Hoehler, in 1925. He was a faithful member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church since 1971 and was proud of his 10-year service as Cubmaster of Pack 346 at St. Gabriel.
In recent years he enjoyed part-time employment at Bluegrass Automotive, driving cars around Kentucky and Indiana. He was a member of KYANA Car Club, several T-bird Clubs and POGS (Parents of Grown Scouts). He enjoyed travel, boating, most anything automotive and never met a stranger.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his precious baby daughter, Jaclyn; and sisters, Ann Fairfax and Susan Keller.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Janet Cecil Hoehler; sons, Kenneth (Ronda), Jeffrey, and Mark (Jessica); grandchildren, Lynnzi, Clayton (Trinity), Adam (Destiny), Clint (Ally), Garrett, Cole, Elijah, and Carrie Kate; great grandson, Alex; brothers, Glenn, Tom (Pam), and Dan (Lisa); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church 5505 Bardstown Road with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery Hwy. 49 Holy Cross, KY (Marion County). Visitation will be from 3p.m. – 7 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home 3800 Bardstown Road.
Memorial gifts may be made to Mass of the Air, Lincoln Heritage Council Boy Scouts of America, American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
