Stephen Don Josephson

Stephen Don Josephson, 85, of Fort Wayne, passed away, Monday, December 15, 2025, at The Village at Inverness, Fort Wayne, with his wife by his side. Born January 27, 1940, in Forest Hills, New York, he was the son of Dr. George and Clare (Gross) Josephson.
He graduated from Forrest Hills High School, Queens, NY, with the Class of 1958 and attended college at Indiana University and in New York.
Steve eventually moved to Los Angeles, California and worked for Laguna Sports Ware. It was in L.A. where he met Nancy Hilligoss and the two were married on May 29, 1982. After retiring from Laguna, he and Nancy owned and operated Davida's Gift Shop in Beverly Hills for 16 years.
After fully retiring, they moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana September 1, 2020. Steve grew up in the Jewish faith and attended Catholic Masses with Nancy. Currently they attended Mass in Fort Wayne and at her family's parish, St. Catherine's Catholic Church in rural Columbia City. Confirmed and Baptized Catholic.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Nancy Josephson, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Stanley Fisher; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Deb Hilligoss; brother-in-law, Bert Bryan, six nieces; four nephews; and several great-nieces and nephew. Along with his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Sue Bryan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, 9989 S. State Road 9, Columbia City, with calling one hour prior. Father Eustace Okorie, celebrant.
Steve will be laid to rest at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Cemetery, Columbia City.
Memorial contributions in memory of Steve may be made to St. Catherine's Preservation Fund or Masses.
