Louisville - Stephen J. Kempf, Sr., 69, of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022. He worked for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and was retired from the City of Louisville.
Steve was born in Louisville to the late Raymond J. Kempf and Frances Gering Kempf. He shared his joyful presence as a husband, father, pop, brother, son and friend.
Carrying on Steve's legacy are his wife of 46 years, Linda Hitt Kempf, son and daughter-in-law Steve, Jr. and Kelly Gronotte Kempf, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Memorial will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022 with visitation starting at noon at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 1000 N Beckley Station Rd, Louisville, KY 40245, funeral mass at 1:00 and burial at Calvary Cemetery 1600 Newburg Rd
Louisville, KY 40205. Following the cemetery service, please join a celebration at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cathedral of the Assumption Daily Lunch Program, Louisville in honor of the "Soup Man". Condolences may be shared at RattermanBrothers.com
