Stephen Ledet Obituary
Stephen Paul Ledet, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the age of 66. He was born on January 10, 1958, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the son of the late Clement Joseph “CJ” Ledet and Marie Louise Cowart Ledet. Steve proudly served in the Army National Guard for 16 years.
Steve is survived by his wife of 48 years, Alice Googe Ledet; children, Niki Ann Ledet (Tommy Kinchen), Stephen Joseph Ledet, Allyson Junaita Ledet Thomas (Bruce Thomas), and Kayla Marie Ledet (Nate Lacoste); grandchildren, Jade Mulkey, Kyleigh Mulkey, Tylin Mulkey, Piper Kinchen, Kelsey Ledet, Gracie Ledet, Bailey Thomas, Ty Thomas, and Zayd Ledet; siblings, Gerard Ledet, Clement Ledet, Linda Wade, and Dena Ledet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Isabella Ledet; siblings, Diane Foret, William "Billy" Ledet, and Brian Ledet; and mother and father-in-law, Sarah and Middleton Googe.
Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, with a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Hammond and Ponchatoula. An on-line guest book is available at www.harrymckneely.com.
