Stephen Lutz Obituary

A loving husband, devoted father, son, brother, and uncle, Stephen Kenneth Lutz, 64, passed away on February 28th, while with friends in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
Steve was born January 30, 1961, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to William Kenneth Lutz and Maxine Thompson Lutz. He grew up in Louisville, a member of Christ Church United Methodist and playing golf at Wildwood Country Club. Steve graduated from Baylor High School in Chattanooga, Tennessee (1979), continuing studies at Hanover College and Western Kentucky University. A member of the Professional Golfers' Association, Steve was the Head Professional at General Burnside Island Golf Course. Previously he was the Head Professional at Lone Oak Golf Club and Assistant Professional at Hunting Creek Country Club. Steve and his family attended Pax Christi Catholic Church in Lexington.
Steve will be missed by his surviving family, his wife, the former Maureen Shannon Brady; sons James Kenneth and Collin Patrick; daughters Molly Curran and Meghan Colleen; mother, Maxine Lutz; brother Scott Thompson Lutz (Karen); and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 8, from 10AM-12 PM at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church with funeral service to start at Noon, to be followed by burial at Cave Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association.

I met Steve when he came to work at Burnside Island. Super nice guy and I will miss seeing him at the course. Prayers for his family.

February 2018 I met Steve at General Burnside Island State Park Golf Course. I became a volunteer there working under him. He was sincere and caring, he is sadly missed by all who knew him including me. Rest In Peace Steve
