Stephen Kyle McMasters, 32, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on October 21, 2023. Kyle was born in Jonesboro on October 11, 1991 to Rebecca McMasters and the late Stephen McMasters. In addition to his father, Kyle is preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Patsy McMasters, Donald and Betty Foster and his grandmother-in-law, Floella Dobbs.
Kyle grew up in Bay under the watchful eye of his parents, brother, grandparents and great aunt's Mae, Lou and Tommy. He graduated from Bay High School and attended ASU. He was Baptist by faith.
Kyle's outstanding qualities were strong, loving, kind, and good-hearted. He had a gift for talking and making a connection with anyone even if he didn't know them. His hobbies include watching the Razorbacks and other sports, gaming, seeing new places and reading. Kyle would visit the library often and come home with a stack of new fantasy novels to dive into. He enjoyed nature and taking adventures with his wife and children. Kyle dreamed of taking his family to Montana and Yellowstone.
Kyle's passion was always his family. When he met the love of his life and best friend, Janie, they instantly became inseparable. He always dreamed of having children and his proudest moments were when he was blessed with his girls, Kimber Jane and Kasey RaeAnn. He wanted more children and dreamed of having a boy.
Kyle is survived by his wife of 5 years, Janie McMasters; daughters Kimber and Kasey McMasters; mother, Rebecca McMasters; brother, Derek McMasters; nieces, Raegan and Mia McMasters; mother-in-law, Nancy Best; father-in-law, Dennis Best; brother-in-law, Jacob Best and fiancé Jenna Smith; sister-in-law Charissa and Timmy Napier, nieces Aspen and Khloe and nephews Quinton, and Cash Napier; sister-in-law Maira Best; great-aunt, Lou McMasters; and a host of cousins, family, friends, and loved ones.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Emerson Funeral Home. A visitation will precede the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
