It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kandi Lea Andrews, who left this world on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the age of 46. Born on January 15, 1979, in Paragould, Kandi lived a life full of warmth, love, and devotion to her family and profession.
Kandi graduated from Bay High School in 1997 and dedicated over 22 years to the healthcare industry as a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA), most recently serving at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. Her nurturing spirit and compassionate care touched the lives of many, and her dedication to her work was a testament to her selflessness.
Kandi's greatest joys came from her roles as a daughter, fiance, mother, grandmother and sister. She is survived by her beloved mother, Brenda Andrews; fiance, Derreck Sutton; daughters, Spring Jenkins, Autumn Jenkins, and Alexus Davis; her son, D.J. Sutton; and her cherished grandchildren, Bryden, Axton, Everett, Brynlea, Sam, and King. Kandi shared a special bond with her siblings, her brothers, Randy and Rickey Andrews, and her sister, Crystal (Nate) Harbarugh. She also leaves behind her precious mother-in-law, Virdia Young, four nephews, nine nieces, and numerous friends.
Kandi is preceded in death by her father, Rick Andrews; grandmother, Julia Crow; uncle, Les Crow; and aunt, Linda Webb.
In her free time, Kandi enjoyed sewing and had a unique fascination with elephants, always collecting items that featured her favorite animal. In fact, if it had an elephant on it, she had to have it. Her love for shopping for elephants was well-known, as well as for blankets, and Stanley cups. As a playful spirit, if one of her treasured Stanley cups was ever misplaced, Kandi would replace it with two more, embodying her generosity and love for those around her.
A celebration of Kandi's life will be held on Monday, October 27, 2025. Public visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM with Rev. Jay Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland.
Kandi Lea Andrews will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love, joy, and compassion will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace, forever remembered for the light she brought into this world.
