Stephen Morris Stover, 81, left mortality on July 21, 2023 at his son's home in Mt. Juliet, TN. He was a long-time resident of Marion, Indiana, but in February moved to Mt. Juliet to be treated at the Sarah Cannon Center. He is the son of George H. and Shirley (Stephens) Stover Sr. and was born in Binghamton, New York in February 1942. He is a graduate of Bloomfield College. He married Diane C. (Fuller) Stover, his eternal companion and wife of 57 years. Their sons are Stephen F., Jeffrey, and Jason and their daughters are Robin, Cristina, and Sandie. Their grandchildren are Dustin and Jessica, Laura, Zachary, Te'Ana, Jalen, Sean-Micah, Christian, Te, and great-grandchildren – Mason, Nicholas and Harper. His beloved Chihuahuas are Cho-Cho and Nani(pua). He has one brother, George Jr. and sister-in-law, Judy, a niece, Heather, and two nephews George III, and Cameron, and several cousins, and countless dear friends.
He is a loving, devoted husband and father. He taught us all through word and deed how to serve others, to work, and fulfill commitments to family and others. He taught us how to never give up on anyone and always, always help others. He taught us faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He served in many callings and responsibilities in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved helping others, golfing, and his dogs. His first career was with RCA as a manufacturing supervisor and his second career was with Wal-Mart as an asset manager. He taught us to put God first, family next, and never to tell a lie. He is a man of integrity and his loyalty is unsurpassed. Steve, dad, papa – may God be with us all until we meet again – your loving family.
A memorial service will be held in Marion, Indiana at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1465 E. Bradford Street, Marion, Indiana in the future. A grave side service in Pulteney, New York will occur at a later point also.
