Joe, Margaret and Family: I did not know Stephen, but knew how very proud you both were of all your children. My heart breaks for you. Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Please accept my sincere condolences over your loss. Know that even though many years have passed since we have seen each other, I wish you all the best and am thinking of you as you learn to accept and heal. It feels like yesterday that we all lived close by in beautiful Wilmette and enjoyed the many carefree and fun times with our children. Our memories of Steve were many, him walking in our back door, saying hi Mrs Brand with a sweet smile, playing in the yard, sharing the same sports with our boys,
Going to the beach, celebrating birthdays, seeing him run, graduating from NewTrier High School....
He had many good friends and was a good friend to them. We know how painful this loss is to all who knew him,
he will always be remembered

I was lucky enough to teach Steve and Will at WJHS. I remember Steve´s sweet smile. I can vividly picture him in my classroom. I am so sorry for this loss. My heart is with your family.
