Steve Mathews Obituary
The son of Tony and Jennie Mathews, Steve will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Bonnie; his son Shawn and daughter-in-law Stefanie; his daughter Brittany and son-in-law David; and his grandchildren Sadie, Stella and Sabrina; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
He will also be dearly missed by his friends at the North Jersey Street Rod Association.
Viewing hours will be Thursday, April 20th 2023, from 3pm to 8pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home Inc., 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. A funeral service will be offered Friday 11am also at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Mt. Rest Cemetery, Butler, NJ.

Today I stopped by the cemetary to visit my Mom and brother's grave. That's when I saw the new stone for Steve. Flooded with memories, I was so sad. My most sincere sympathy is to Bonnie. Know that I will pray for Steve as well as my Mom and brother each time I visit the cemetery. Rest in Peace Steve. You were a good man and a good friend to my family. Never forgotten. Condolences to Bonnie, Shawn and Brittany and all the family members. I met Steve in the late 50´s as a fellow classmate and remained good friends. Later in life found out that he and my husband were cousins. Steve could keep you laughing and always had a story to tell. He was a great guy to know. Rest in Peace Steve.
