Steve Mullins, age 64, of Sugar Valley, passed away Friday August 26th in Redmond Regional Hospital.
Steve was born May 19, 1958, in Gordon County, Son of Tommy Mullins and the late Barbara Seritt Mullins. He was a graduate of Calhoun High School Class of 1977 and prior to his retirement was employed with Mohawk Industries for 28 years. Steve was a member of the Hill City Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
Besides his mother he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Mullins in August of 2005.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Roland Mullins; two daughters, Beth Mullins Wright of Ringgold and Stephanie Mullins Smith and her husband Derek of Resaca; his father, Tommy Mullins of Sugar Valley; one brother, Mike Mullins of Sugar Valley and one sister, Kathy Talley and her husband Matt of Resaca. Three grandchildren, Jacob Wright, Britton Wright, and Logan Smith also survive.
Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday August 30th at 1pm from the Hill City Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Brock and Rev. Dennis Reagan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers serving will include Larry Holsomback, Felton Floyd, Terry Goble, Jeff Walraven, Jacob Wright, and Britton Wright.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5 until 9pm at the funeral home.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Steve s memory be made to the Hill City Baptist Church @ 1411 Hill City Road, Resaca, Georgia,30735 or the American Heart Association @ P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, Texas, 75284.
