Obituary of Steve Tobolski
Born in Vineland to the late Steven E. and Felicina (Pio) Tobolski, Steve was 94 years old and lived in Buena for 30 years. He graduated VHS in 1948 and is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Joan (Creamer); son, John Tobolski of Vineland; daughters, Stephanie (Gary) Carpenter of Newark, DE and Joanne (Michael Brown) Adel of Swedesboro, NJ; six grandchildren, Dr. Candice (Hadi) Ghazzouli of Phoenixville, PA, Matthew (Sara) Adel of Cranford, NJ, Ali (Adnan) Kazim of Moorestown, NJ, Taylor (Kyle) Lelli of Yardley, PA, Tarah (Joe) Duda of Monroeville, NJ, Steven (Kayla) Tobolski of Vineland, NJ all of whom he was proud of. He was lucky enough to be around to enjoy his ten great grandchildren, Drew Ghazzouli, Everly Ghazzouli, Olive Adel, Thea Adel, Myles Kazim, Julian Kazim, Violet Lelli, Harrison Lelli, Mason Duda and Felicina Duda; two siblings, a brother Edward (Darlene) Tobolski of Wrentham, MA and a sister, Katherine Pipitone of Rosenhayn, NJ, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his grandson, Drew Carpenter; son in law, Les Adel; sister and brother in Law, Phylliss and Enrico Bracaliello; sister and brother in law, Shirley and Herb Griffith, brother in law, Tony Pipitone and sister in law and brother in law, Carole and Robert Walters.
Steve was an Army Veteran of the Korean War (52-53) serving with the 25 Infantry Division. He was awarded the Combat Infantrymen's Badge and Korean Service Medal with Bronze Stars. After discharge, he became a full-time technician with the NJ Army National Guard in Vineland and retired after 31 years as the unit Personnel Chief Warrant Office. He was awarded numerous Army and NJ Military Awards and attended military training at Ft Ben Indiana. He was a member of the CIB National Association, Korean war Vets, 25 ID Association 3-102 Armor Retired Association, VFW and a former member of The Executive Board of Cranberry Run.
His enjoyment was spending time with his wife and large immediate family and relatives at family functions and reunions and his very special relationship with "THE GANG" their lifelong friends enjoying their picnics, parties, vacations down the shore and trips to Vegas.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday morning, October 17 from 10am to 11:30am, followed by a funeral service at 11:30am at DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Vineland. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Leukemia & Lymphoma in memory of his grandson, Drew Steven Carpenter.
