CORDELE - Steven "Steve" Edward Allen, 63, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday afternoon, June 13, 2025. Friends and family are invited to share their cherished memories and offer their condolences from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, June 16, 2025, at Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. In true Steve fashion, there will be no formal service-just a gathering of loved ones celebrating a life well-lived.
Steve was born in Cordele, Georgia to Marvin L. Allen and Shirley Owens Allen both of whom preceded their son in death. Also, his stepdaughter Chasity Howell Clack and his grandchild Brynleigh Grace Allen preceded him in death.
Steve was a wonderful father and a beloved husband. He was talented in his profession as a painter as well as in landscaping and gardening. His love of the outdoors and nature was evident in hunting and fishing. He was known for his playful spirit and as someone who could make just about anyone laugh and was always ready to share a laugh with family and friends.
Steve is survived by his wife Tina Faircloth Allen of Cordele, his children Megan Grace (David Lee) Runels and Steven Hunter Allen all of Cordele, his step-daughter Brooke Howell of Oakfield, Georgia; his siblings Melvin (Lori) Allen of Cordele, Denise (Barry) Ray of Sylvester, Georgia, and Karen (Dale) Johnson of Summerville, S.C.; and his grandchildren Nicolas Runels and Zayne Runels, and step-grandchildren Tyler Heinzerling, Taylor Wade Hayslip (Daniel) Justin Howell (Lanah), Dusty Wade J.R., and Jayden Clack.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Crisp Regional Hospice for their compassionate care and professionalism during this difficult time. Your kindness will always be remembered.
