Steven Lloyd Biemeret, age 69 of Grand Prairie, TX, passed away suddenly on March 20, 2025.
He was born on May 24, 1955 in Green Bay. His parents who loved and raised him were Donald and June Biemeret. He was a graduate of Premontre High School in Green Bay. After that he spent some time on the west coast skiing, before becoming a cook on a fishing boat in Alaska. He spent time in Seattle between trips, and grew to love it, so he settled there and founded BLS Construction.
Steve met his wife, Gigi two weeks after she had moved home from college. His favorite story was as he came over to introduce himself, dripping wet from jumping in the lake, and Gigi said, "excuse me, you're standing in my sun". It was love at first sight for both, and on September 28, 1991, Steven married Gigi Janine Aho in Woodinville, WA.
Steve enjoyed many things in life. He had a passion for music which was always on, including blues, jazz and rock and roll. He enjoyed live music in Door County, Las Vegas and Dallas, blues clubs in Chicago and St. Louis, as well as finding unique art in Santa Fe, NM.
He enjoyed impromptu road trips, whether it was driving around Washington state to find the sun, many trips home to Wisconsin, the rock & roll hall of fame and Gettysburg, moving Jane, Steve's beloved mother-in-law, to Texas, and the southwest. He had a great love for their dogs Cayenne, Harley and Parker.
Later in life he developed a passion for container gardening and silk flower arrangements. He enjoyed his yearly ski trips with the fun club, annual Christmas parties, poker in Suamico and boating in Green Bay. Most importantly he enjoyed time spent with family and friends, all surely to have their own special memories to share.
Steven is survived by and will be deeply missed by his wife, Gigi of Grand Prairie, TX; mother, June Biemeret; brother, Scott (Sonja) Biemeret; nieces; nephews; and dogs, Harley, and Parker,
Preceding him in death were his father, Donald Biemeret; two brothers, Mark Biemeret, and Danny Biemeret; and mother-in-law, Jane Aho.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Huehns Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Egg Harbor. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
