Publish in a newspaper

Steven R. Butler was born on April 28, 1956, and passed from this life on September 30, 2025 after a battle with lewy body demetia.
Steven was a devoted family man who cherished every opportunity to gather and make memories with his loved ones. Holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions were especially meaningful to him, and he made it a point to celebrate them.
He had a lifelong passion for cars, especially classic and muscle cars. Steven could be found at nearly every local car show and frequented Coffee & Cars in Norman on the second Saturday of the month and was present every Tuesday in Moore at Boomerang where he caught up with old friends and often made some new ones. He loved connecting with fellow car enthusiasts and had a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship and care that went into each vehicle.
This passion for cars naturally led to his career as an auto mechanic. Steven had a gift for diagnosing problems and took pride in working with his hands. His family always turned to him with car questions, and he was always glad to help.
Steven is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Paula; his children, Steven Butler and his wife, Kelsie, and Brian Butler and his wife, Laura; and his grandchildren, Steven Butler, Kendall Butler, Peyton Butler, and Austin Butler.
He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Butler, and brother-in-law, Randy Gilreath, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews: Randall Gilreath and his wife, Rachel, and their children, Natalie and Dean; Angela and her husband, Brad, and their children, Zachary and Alyssa; Shawna and her husband, Rusty, and their children, Madison and Rylie; and other nephews and nieces, Chuck Riley, Johnathan, Danielle, and Alicia.
Additional surviving family members include his mother-in-law, Donna McCormick; his brother-in-law, Aaron Riley, and his wife, Candace; along with many close friends and neighbors who held a special place in his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Viola Butler, and his sister, Sharon Gilreath., as well as father-in-law Gerald McCormick and sister-in-law Susan. Steven's legacy lives on through the many lives he touched with his generosity, and unwavering love for family and friends.
