Steve Ray Casto, 67 of Given, passed away on August 22, 2025, at home after a long illness.

He was born on November 13, 1957, in Ripley, WV, the son of the late Donald Ray and Helen Jean Casto. He is survived by his sons Stephen Michael of St. Albans, WV, and Matthew Ray of Dade City, Florida. Sisters Brenda (Lando) Robinson of Kenna, and Connie (Gary) Tolley of Given. Niece Lori (Austin) Fisher of Given, and nephews Travis (Michele) Brotherton of Given, Brandon (Cortney) Tolley of Charleston, and Cody (Masonne) Tolley of Given. Great Neice and Nephews Tatum and Maverick Brotherton of Given, Brady, Carson and Connor Fisher of Given, Quinn and Baker Tolley of Charleston, and Colson Tolley of Given. Steve was a graduate of Dunbar High School. He was self employed as S. Casto Residential Construction and worked for a few special people in the Charleston area that he considered true friends.

The family would like to THANK the Hospice staff of Debbie, Sam, Sara, Diane, and Pete for their kindness and compassion.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pete Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Rockcastle. Friends may call on the family from 1:00 pm until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
