Steven J. Cote, 66, of Leeds, Maine, passed away peacefully at home on March 6, 2025, surrounded by his wife, Monique D. Cote, and their two beloved dogs, Diogi and Emmy. Born on September 8, 1958, in Bath, Maine, Steven lived a vibrant and eventful life, filled with his deep passion for motorcycles and hot rods.
Steven was one of the founding members and was the first President of the Maine Chapter of the Hells Angels. Before joining the Hells Angels, Steven was a member of the Saracens MC in Turner, Maine. In addition, Steven also had a love for hot rods. He was a member of the Road Scholars Car Club and had previously been a member of the Motor Menders.
Steve had a successful 45-year career as a professional truck driver, logging miles across the country. He drove coast to coast, regionally, and locally before transitioning into a Safety Position at Hartt Transportation, where he worked for over 20 years. He went on to create a role as a Safety Inspector at Hartt, where he worked closely with the drivers and customers to ensure safety protocols and procedures while being safe. His efforts helped maintain drivers safety and fostered positive relationships with the communities and the companies Hartt served.
After retiring from Hartt Transportation, Steve enjoyed his retirement years by indulging in his love for cars, spending much of his time in his garage working on his hot rods.
Steven is survived by his loving wife, Monique; his parents, Arthur and Dorothy Cote of West Gardiner, ME; his sister Sharon and her husband, John Duval, of Bartlesville, OK; his daughter, Danielle Voisine, and grandchildren Violette and Elliot of Hartford, ME; his nephew Brad Robbins and his daughter Blair, also of Bartlesville, OK; and his sister Carolyn Bibber of Harpswell, ME. Steven will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A celebration of Steven's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Steve Cote's name to Blessed Be the Bullies and Pulled From the Pits.

Steve was a great friend I remember him as his nick name ( Stevie hot rocks). I remember when Stevie was a prospect for the Saracen way back when they didn't have a club house so every Friday I was booted out of my house and they held the meetings there until they bought the clubhouse in Turner Stevie always brought me eggs from egg lands best, when Stevie got his patches as a Saracen and I was aloud to go home there was a knock on my door it was Stevie and 2 brother's I was told to take care of him I was so grossed out I gave him a shower and stayed with him. My ex was a Saracen Stevie was like my big brother always watched over me. I remember Stevie as a skinny handsome young man. I'll never forget you my dear brother..I pray your with all who have gone before you. To his wife Stevie loved you so very much, I knew Stevie before they met when he was still wet behind the ears he was so polite caring and even shy. If you can believe that.R.I.P. my brother.
