Steven Todd Divins

Steven Todd Divins, age 46, of Erie, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. He was born in Erie on April 18, 1975, son of Rodney Alan and Elaine Jean Nylen Divins.
Steven was a 1993 graduate of Harbor Creek High School and graduated from the Pittsburgh Culinary Institute. He began his career as a chef at the Waterfront Restaurant and had been employed as the head chef at many local fine dining establishments, such as Shakespiers and Porter's at Union Station. Steven opened many restaurants with Pat Artise, including Crabby Pat's, Bootleggers and Sidelines. His last place of employment was Sneaky Pete's Speakeasy, where he served as head chef.
Steven enjoyed fly fishing and music, especially punk rock and The Misfits. He liked watching his favorite tv shows with his wife and was a movie buff. He treasured his beloved pet cats, Glenn and Ian, as well as Stanley, who passed. Steven loved cooking for his family and hosting the family holiday celebrations.
In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by his wife, Denise A. Mankoski Divins, whom he married on September 1, 2012; one daughter, Riley Divins; one stepson, Kyle Shafer; three brothers, Michael Divins (Jennifer), Kirk Divins, and John Divins (Shannon); brother-in-law, Tony Mankoski (Barb); maternal grandfather, Russell Nylen; mother-in-law, Elaine Mankoski; nieces and nephews, Anthony, Andrew, Maddie, and Logan Mankoski, and Olivia, Ryan, Sean and Jacob Divins; and his beloved little buddy, Zane Kahteran. Steven was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Ada Divins; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Nylen; and father-in-law, James Mankoski.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Taylor Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5151 Buffalo Road (at Hannon Rd. in Harborcreek Twp.) on Saturday from noon until the time of the Funeral Service there at 2 pm, conducted by Rev.
